Off-the-job training hours calculator
Model the learner's applicable OTJ minimum using the published figure for their standard and start-date rules. Compare that minimum with evidenced recognition of prior learning (RPL), the provider-agreed plan and actual eligible hours. Pace is shown only as a delivery-planning indicator.

What the calculation means
- Adjusted minimum = the applicable published minimum minus the evidenced RPL reduction. For learners under the 2026/27 rules, this calculator applies the general 187-hour floor.
- Provider plan is the agreed delivery volume. It can be higher than the adjusted compliance minimum and should not be silently reduced to match it.
- Actual eligible hours are compared with the adjusted minimum. Eligibility still depends on the activity meeting the funding-rule definition and being supported by evidence.
- Indicative pace spreads the provider's planned hours evenly across the entered duration. It is a management signal, not the funding-rule compliance test.
- Learners who started before 1 August 2025 remain subject to the rules that applied on their start date; do not replace those requirements with this model.
