Learner file quality
- Starting points and RPL are evidenced clearly.
- Progress narrative is specific to each learner.
- KSB coverage and OTJ status are current.
Safeguarding and Prevent
- Staff training records are in date and complete.
- Escalation and referral logs are auditable.
- Learner safeguarding records are coherent and timely.
Progress review quality
- Reviews are genuinely three-way where required.
- SMART targets are time-bound and KSB-linked.
- Previous target outcomes are explicitly reviewed.
IQA and audit trail
- IQA sample plans match risk profile and volume.
- Actions are closed with evidence of impact.
- Version history can be produced quickly.
Recommended operating rhythm
- Run this checklist monthly with quality and delivery leads.
- Assign one accountable owner per section.
- Use RAG statuses to prioritise remediation before inspections.
- Review trend changes each month to track systemic issues.
